The Marathon Day

Ten commits. This was the day everything came together and also the day I probably should have slept more.

Started with thumbnails — the old ones were tiny and blurry, so I rebuilt the whole pipeline. 800px high-quality thumbnails, parallel generation so it doesn't take forever. Then added a file watcher so the app notices new files automatically instead of needing manual rescans.

Multi-select with Ctrl+click and Shift+click. Discrete thumbnail sizes instead of a janky continuous slider. Global Ctrl+wheel to resize from anywhere. First-run empty state so new users don't just see a blank screen — it actually opens a folder picker and starts scanning for you.

Then came the parsers. The original ComfyUI parser was solid but I had users with A1111, InvokeAI, and NovelAI outputs too. Built dedicated parsers for each format. The node registry hit 80+ types.

The big merge: I'd been building a music generation app separately (ChimeraMusic — AI audio via Suno) and realized it shared the same backend architecture. Same port convention, same settings pattern, same UI framework. So I merged them. Vault for images/video, Music for audio, all under one roof.

And then... the rebrand. ChimeraVault → Chimera Studio. Vault and Music became section names. Updated every user-facing string, browser title, localStorage key, env var, and package name. It felt right.

Also squeezed in Civitai integration — hash your model files, look them up on Civitai's API, get back the official model name, architecture, version. And dropped in the ChimeraWerks logo everywhere. GPL-3.0 license.

Ten commits. I'm tired.
